Don’t Be Fooled. Be God’s Jewel.

Knowing who God created you to be
In the dark or in the light, you are a jewel in God's sight. Live in the light. Be the light. Let hiding take flight.
Every day, we are surrounded by messages that can shape how we see ourselves. Culture, friendships, social media, family expectations, and our emotions can all influence our identity.
But God sees the jewel He created. He knows your story, your gifts, your purpose, and who you were created to become. The question is whether we will let His truth shape our identity or allow the voices around us to define us.
Who Defines You?
Culture can influence us without us even realizing it. This is especially true as young people grow, form friendships, navigate relationships, and begin asking questions about identity and who they want to become.
Friendships matter, but so do wisdom and healthy boundaries. We can care about others without taking on their emotions or allowing someone else's expectations to determine who we are.
Parents can also be tempted to make quick conclusions based on what they see. Instead, ask God for wisdom. He sees the whole story, including what is happening beneath the surface.
Be Transformed by Truth
“Be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think.”– Romans 12:2 TPT
Finding your identity in Christ means allowing God to shape the way you think, discern, and respond rather than simply following every message around you.
When comparison, pressure, shame, or confusion begin to cover the jewel, bring them into the light. Ask Jesus what is true, what needs to be released, and what He wants you to understand. As you listen to Him, He will refine the way you see yourself and the way you live.
You are God's jewel. Your Creator knows you completely. He has not made a mistake in creating you. The gifts, purpose, and character He placed within you are worth discovering and allowing Him to shine through.
A Prayer to Shine
“Father, You are a Father like no other. Thank You for creating me intentionally and knowing every part of me.
When fear, comparison, culture, or the expectations of others influence how I see myself, help me return to Your truth. Give me wisdom to know what to embrace and what to release.
Jesus, help me remember the jewel You placed within me. Remove shame and fear that keep me from seeing myself through Your eyes. Teach me to listen to Your voice and follow Your leading.
Help me love others without losing sight of who You created me to be. Give me courage to live in the light and allow Your character to shine through my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.”
